PAST THE LINE
(Book # 1-The Blake Cutter Detective Series)
A good cop never goes past the line in pursuit of truth
and justice.
|
But when Miami Police Detective Blake Cutter’s wife is
killed in a mafia planted car bomb, revenge will take him
past the line. As obsession with tracking his wife’s killer
jeopardizes the investigation, he is transferred to a
rehabilitative assignment with an FBI field office in a
small Georgia town. His first case, the investigation of a
suspicious drowning of real estate developer Phillip
Drummond during an evening clipper yacht cruise, leads
Cutter into a tangled web of intrigue and deception. Within
days, the case becomes a homicide investigation with
multiple suspects. One of the suspects, a mysterious woman
who happens to be the spitting image of his late wife,
becomes the only link between Drummond and the Mafia head
responsible for his wife’s death. Keeping her safe from the
mob and prosecution is his only chance to bring his wife’s
killer to justice. To do so, he must risk his career to save
her and take down the mob organization. It’s a desperate
race against time. He has less than forty-eight hours before
the case is commandeered by a federal agent with a hidden agenda. |

For Blake Cutter, it means going past the line. |
|
"Past the Line is as exciting and
suspenseful as those from James
Patterson, Nora Roberts and John
Sandford."
(IP Book Reviewers)
"Drama and
tension take over the book right
from the start as readers become
sucked into a wild ride around Devil
Island." (BookReview.com)
"Past the Line
is an unqualified success for lovers
of mystery, thrillers, police
procedurals."
