Apollo Books

His brother Jeremy often said he was small enough to fit into a kangaroo’s pouch.  So he gave him the nickname.  But fourteen-year-old Pouch was about to become larger than life; and in the process save the community of St. Clair from the wrath of a band of druglords known as the East City Crime Conglomerate or EC Cube.

Watching Jeremy succumb to drug addiction had been painful for Pouch.  But when his girlfriend was accidentally shot in an alley during an EC Cube drug-related execution attempt of a rival mob boss, Pouch had seen enough.

As EC Cube prepared to receive a large shipment of smuggled drugs and weapons into the St. Clair port, Pouch knew it was time for action. But after spying on several mob meetings and learning of the plot, he wondered who he could convince someone in the local police department that the information of a fourteen-year-old was credible enough to go after an underworld drug smuggling operation.

There was only man who would take him serious.  A detective named Sinclair was willing to risk everything to nab E. Howard Fitchu, the man who’d been responsible for the death of his partner.  But Detective Sinclair wasn’t Fitschu’s only problem.  He had double-crossed Jimbo Kelly who vowed revenge by selling out to the cops to get even.

Together, Pouch, a fourteen-year-old, spurred by a strong will to make a difference in his community, Jimbo Kelly, mob member turned informant and Detective Sinclair, fueled by a personal vendetta, would form an unorthodox trio to investigate and hunt down E. Howard Fitschu.  Just how far this trio would go in busting apart the EC Cube plans for receipt of a drug shipment, destined to decimate their small, quaint community would depend upon ingenuity, teamwork and how well they controlled their inclinations of fear.
