I
cry, o’ glory, for my homeland, the quiet splendor of cattle
grazing through morning dew, where timber wolves and
caribou, parade a once forgotten land.
Upon this land,
unsettled claims of heaven…for the glory, of the Great
Plains!
Thus, are the words from
"O' For the Glory of the Great Plains", one of the moving
and memorable poems in this collection entitled Images of
Life. It is one of E.T Milligan’s many poems published
in national and international anthologies.
Milligan examines the
subjects that are pertinent in today’s society, offering
sharp insights into the virtue that binds humans together
and the vice that tears them apart.
Images of Life
is a creative compilation of poetry exploring themes as
poignant as nature, devotion, prejudice, and spirituality.
“The
vivid imagery and description that colors his works aids in
the portrayal of various tones and moods through his
language. Powerful conviction and candid sentiment enhance
the intense quality of this unique collection.”
